Juliana Rodrigues is a researcher and educator in topics related to social innovation, social entrepreneurship, and sustainability. She is currently pursuing a joint doctorate degree in Management Studies at Aalto University (Finland) and in Public Administration at Fundação Getulio Vargas (Brazil) via a cotutelle agreement. Her doctorate research project is positioned at the intersection of social innovation, community-based enterprises, and critical development theories. She holds a Master of Research in Management from the University of São Paulo and a bachelor’s degree in Social Communications from Faculdade Casper Líbero. Before being dedicated to academia, she had a corporate and consultancy career in national and multinational companies from different segments, such as healthcare, IT, finance, the paper industry, and consultancy. She has also worked on projects in partnership with practitioners on impact investing, social entrepreneurship ecosystems, and social innovation.
